the feed science podcast show Sep 09, 2026

In this episode of The Feed Science Podcast Show, Dr. Daniel Brugger from the University of Helsinki explains why trace mineral nutrition requires more than simply meeting a formulation target. He explores the gaps between formulated, analyzed, and biologically effective supply; the risks created by mixing and delivery variation; and why oversized safety margins can increase cost, environmental loading, and mineral imbalances without solving the underlying problem. Listen now on all major platforms!

What you'll learn:

  • Trace mineral sustainability
  • Mineral bioavailability challenges
  • Premix mixing accuracy
  • Safety margin limitations
